Koalabi Boot Care

We pride ourselves on the quality of our products and services. It is important to remember that Koalabi boots are made from a natural material and therefore needs proper maintenance to keep them in good condition. Unfortunately once we dispatch the Koalabi boots, a number of changes in condition may result in their longevity being reduced. Care instructions must be followed thoroughly in order to increase the life span and enjoyment of your Koalabi boots.

General Care Instructions

Do NOT soak
Do NOT use fabric conditioner
Do NOT use artificial heat to dry
Do NOT dry in direct sunlight

Washing and Cleaning

The full range of Koalabi Boot footwear can be safely machine or hand washed in the the same manner as delicate woolens using lukewarm or cold water and a mild woolen-friendly detergent. We also recommend a sheepskin shampoo called "Woolskin" expressly formulated for this purpose.

Drying

If washing by machine, spin-dry ensuring the load is balanced. If hand washing, squeeze out any excess water. Do not wring dry! Tumble dry in a warm - Not HOT - dryer or place in a warm room and allow to dry naturally. Avoid direct sunlight & heaters. You may also want to fill out your boots with some newspaper to maintain the shape while drying naturally.

Stain Removal

If your footwear becomes stained with grease, use a razor or sharp knife to scrub some powder from white chalk over the stain and leave it for a few minutes. Then blow away the access chalk and gently rub the stain. Repeat this a few times until the stain has almost disappeared. For extremely tough stains you can gently rub the stain with sandpaper but beware that this may take some color away.
